phespirit has rated Old Wembley Stadium 4.0 out of 5.
Only had the privilege of visiting the old Wembley Stadium once, and that was to see England draw nil-nil with Bulgaria in a dour Euro 2000 qualifier. If being brutally honest, it's hard to give a glowing report about any aspect of it, but now the place has been pulled down it's all about rose-tinted nostalgia. Wembley was always more than the sum of its parts.
Notoriously diabolical to reach.
Not particularly comfortable; some obstructed views.
Toilet facilities provided gentlemen with an opportunity to queue at length before standing in, and contributing to, an ocean of piss.
Overpriced garbage, wasn't it? Not like that now, of course.
Couldn't fault the stewards, but the policing was a bit much.
Atmosphere never seems great for England's home fixtures, so a goalless draw was hardly likely to stoke up an inferno.
