"The Quarry"

has rated Municipal de Braga 4.0 out of 5.

phespirit's review of Municipal de Braga

One of the most distinctive football grounds in the world, with two sides high stands, one end open and the other end a wall of rock. Visited to watch Braga draw 0-0 with Uniao Leiria. A poor match, but there's no grumbling when the club is in a good mood and lets in every fan for free.

Location

Within walking distance of Braga station, but a bit of a trek away to the northwest of town.

View

The view couldn't be better. Seats are not the very last word in comfort, but no complaints.

Facilities

The whole stadium is modern, everything in order.

Food & Drink

Not sampled, not memorable.

Police & Stewards

Helpful stewards; kept out the way of police.

Atmosphere

Atmosphere at its best when the two sides of the ground were practicing call and response with each other. A unique venue for playing tennis with chants.
