"The Eternal Derby"

Lucky to be in Slovenia when Maribor were playing Olimpija. Fantastic atmosphere.

Location

Parked in side streets around the ground. Was getting full so don’t leave it too late. Streets adjacent to the ground closed by police.

Got a good view from our stand. Seats a bit basic.

Facilities

Toilets clean.

Food & Drink

Usual football refreshments.

Police & Stewards

Over zealous. After trying to get into the ground we were sent back to ticket office as we had to write on our tickets names, where we lived and our nationality. Got past first steward to be confronted by more who demanded my passport (I was with my 2 sons aged 11 and 18). No passport but luckily had my drivers licence.Got past this line of stewards and then faced a full body search.

Atmosphere

Atmosphere was fantastic with both sets of ultras in good form. Not sure how they got so many pyros in mind given the stringent security checks meted out to my family. 🤔
