Marvellous ground, lucky enough to have gone to a couple of Euro 2020 games there in June 2021. Feels like a proper national stadium, decent size, not too big and overly corporate like certain others (e.g. Wembley)
Would love to go back
Was about 45 minutes walk from the hotel where we stayed, which was by the Danube in central pest.
Several metro, tram stations options nearby as well as mainline stations
Think tram to Heroes square, walk through the park is most pleasant option of you have the time.
Up in the top tier, so view never going to be amazing, but seats were fine. Hand railing for safety. Could walk all around stadium, so could see the lower tiers views on route and they were pretty impressive
Only had to queue at half time do couldn't complain - didn't spot a disabled toilet but presumably they had their own area somewhere else in the ground
Card only payments (although there was a booth to purchase payment card with cash). Heineken was 1.250Ft per 500ml which was about 50% increase in outside arena. Had to pay 300 Ft for a re-usable cup.
Plenty of food options available.
Very relaxed and minimal presence inside the ground.
Were metal detectors outside ground and they were strict about not bringing in your own water bottles.
Incredible atmosphere but Hungary did score just before half time to led the World Champions 1-0 which obviously helped!
