max54 has rated Jakemans Community Stadium 4.0 out of 5.
Three quarters built (October 2021), with an all seater main stand faced with covered terrace along the opposite touch line and behind one goal. This gave it a good atmosphere with fans close to the action.
The stadium is on the edge of town just off the main road to Spalding. Although I arrive an hour before kick off there was no parking available. You may have to pre-book it. However, for a new ground this does seem a significant drawback. Particularly so as public transport was conspicuous by its absence. Drivers are advised to park in adjacent streets which will not endear the club to local residents. However, the site is not fully developed so perhaps I am being harsh in my judgement.
Good view of the action from the terracing. View from the stand is unencumbered too.
Facilities appeared to very good as indeed they should for a new ground.
An excellent range of food available. My chips with curry sauce was one of the best I have had. Could do with more staff though. Those on duty worked furiously but with good humour to prove a service.
Despite the largest crowd of the season not too many police on show. Stewards were friendly and unobtrusive.
Great atmosphere generated. All three sides are covered which helps.
