You can tell that a lot of time and effort has gone into Afoneitha Road over the last few years. I remember the pitch when it was just a normal field, and since then the main pitch has had UEFA standard goalposts and netting put up along with UEFA standard corner flags. It also has had white-painted railings put up all the way around the pitch. A 200 seater stand is also down one of the sides, and the facilities are getting better all the time as the changing rooms and match-day bar and club have all been renovated. It's not in the best of locations being down a dirt track on the side of the busiest roads in Penycae, parking can be an issue. The staff are very friendly upon arrival and the view from the seated stand is half decent.
In my opinion the location of the ground is poor as it is down a dirt track on the side of the busiest roads in the village, if its a busy day parking can be an issue.
The seated stand is just as good as anybody else's stand at their standard. It is located in the centre down one of the sides making it easy to see all of the action.
They are getting better all the time down to hard work by the clubs volunteers.
The basic match day food and drink is nice and cheap, and the match-day club is looking decent.
Stewards are friendly when you arrive, apart from that there is no real need for police or stewards at the games. I certainly didn't notice any.
As Penycae are only a small club there is no real atmosphere but that is not down to them. They have a small loyal fan base though.
