mattrdfc's review of Preston Park

Harefield United 4-1 Hillingdon Borough. Spartan South Midlands Division One. 19/02/2019. Att: 74.

Preston Park is a pretty run of the mill non league ground. The floodlights are like staring into the sun and there was no programme unfortunately. On the plus side, easy to get to.

Location

A few miles from the M25 which was very easy. Car park was small but I managed to get a space, plenty of parking on the road outside. No train station anywhere nearby as far as I could tell.

View

One stand with lots of seating near the entrance, with a covering behind the dugouts on the opposite touch line for standing. However this cover is a bizarrely a few feet behind the barrier so you would get wet on a rainy day!

Facilities

Toilets are a grim portacabin affair. The floodlights are ridiculously bright and really distracted from the match.

Food & Drink

Pint of Fosters £3.10. Burger/hotdog £3. The clubhouse is warm and quite welcoming, modern bar area but not enough seats for everyone.

Atmosphere

This is the first match for a long time where I can't remember a single comment made by a fan. A very quiet ground.
