martonimp has rated Gayfield Park 4.5 out of 5.
Had a trip up from England to visit this iconic ground. It's dominated by old terracing with just one seated area. Facilities are a bit primitive but it's a proper old school football experience. Lots of kids there supporting their local club which was great to see.
Easy walking distance from the train station (via a couple of pubs and a chippy). Tutties Neuk is a wonderful pub across the road from the ground which welcomes away fans and neutrals.
You can pretty much stand where you like on the terracing. The view on the terraced side of the ground is obscured by a TV gantry which is bizarrely placed and seems utterly unnecessary . Other than that the view of the action was fine.
Basic but the toilets were clean enough.
Steak pies were ok - 6/10
Stewards were friendly. There was a bit of bother at the end involving some disgruntled Dunfermline fans but it was aimed at their (former) manager rather than rival fans.
Cracking atmosphere especially considering the open nature of the ground. The good recent form of the home team has created a buzz.
