"Evening well-spent"

markymark1970's review of The Carlsberg Stadium

Paul Merson at the bar, here to watch son Sam play for the home side.

Location

Brisk 15-20 minute walk from the station - I can recommend the Golden Pheasant in the high street - very friendly welcome and about 8 real ales on tap.
Could do with turning the lights on for the path from the ground to the road though.

View

decent view around the ground with the usual problem that the benches do obscure the pitch from that side

Facilities

toilets decent enough

Food & Drink

First burger van I've seen at a ground that has bowls of jalepenos and gerkins to add to your burger - they don't even do that at Dulwich Hamlet! Real ale in bottles in the club house (Brakespear Oxford Gold; Wychwood Hopgoblin; Marstons' EPA).
