Visit Saturday 14/05/2016. Barnton v Bacup Borough. First Division play off final. 2-0 to Barnton after extra time. Crowd 554. Weather warm & sunny. Great match, both teams getting stuck in but hard and fair. End to end could have gone either way but Barnton just edged it in extra time. Went 1-0 up then Barnton keeper made a great save to keep score at 1-0 and Barnton sealed it late on with a second goal. Ground basic but adequate. Pie Chips & Gravy looked good but didn't partake. Very enjoyable overall. Also went to the Anderton Boat Lift which is close by and highly recommended.
Easy by car, not near a station. Easy to find with Sat-Nav. Ground car park full for this big crowd but plenty of street parking nearby.
Didn't try the seats but view from anywhere around the pitch side was great.
Didn't try it but the pie, chips and gravy looked good. Plenty of beer on sale and able to drink pitch side which beats any premier league ground!
No police required, very little need for stewarding and all seemed well organised.
Great atmosphere for this playoff final, crowd spread all around the pitch.
