Ground no 321 on this site, 1st of the 2018/19 season. Chelsea U18's vs Oxford United U18's.This was the opening fixture at this completely revampred stadium, also home to Surrey FA. Facilities probably best I have seen for a club at this level. The bar/function room is brand new and has comfortable seating and a view of the pitch. Modern stand on same side at club house. Artificial pitch looked perfect. If I lived in Dorking I would be a regular.
Perfect location as it's right in the centre of the town, parking in town centre car park and three train stations.
Nothing really to fault, main stand could be bigger but suitable for the level. Small but adequate covered standing at one end and then along the side at the other end.
Facilities all brand new.
Food advertised as healthy eating which it may well have been but seemed to be the standard offering of burgers, cheeseburgers and hot dogs. However reasonably priced £3.00 for burger with onions, tea or coffee at £1.20.
Very little need for stewards for this match. Bag search was quick and no complaints from me.
I can't say there was much atmosphere but then this fixture was unusual as Dorking weren't playing. It was perfectly friendly.
