loveanewground's review of Gossmore Lane

Ground 358. June 12th 2021. Marlow United v Berks County. Lovely hot sunny day at this ground by the river, it is however just a pitch in a recreation ground with no facilities. Enjoyable match with 2nd placed Berks County winning 1-3. Other points of interest, the Ref was wearing a bandana, players quick to mention "Jack Sparrow". As we were parking the ball went into the front garden of one of the houses opposite and the lady of the house seemed most unwilling to return the ball. Marlow keeper sent off late on and then seemed keen to pick a fight with anyone but he appeared to calm down eventually with no harm done. These are the little incidents that add to the overall match day experience!
