16/09/2017. Carlisle Utd v Barnet 1-1. I really enjoyed revisiting as I was last here in 1982 for an old Div 2 game v Chelsea which Carlisle won 2-1 (seem to remember it was Joey Jones debut for Chelsea). I don't remember much about my first visit but the ground did seem to be very much the same. It's a long way but a very easy trip by train from London. Great day out.
Easy walk from the station and plenty of street parking. Plenty to see and do in Carlisle before the game.
Away fans seated in one of the stands along the side, perfect view. Traditional terraced home end
Bit basic but perfectly adequate.
Didn't have anything so can't comment
Stewards ok, didn't have any contact with the police. Overall it felt safe as an away fan.
Not brilliant but then Carlisle were 0-1 down for most of the match before equalising late on.
