"Nice setting by the River Thames"

loveanewground's review of Bisham Abbey

Ground no. 360. 26th June 2021. Maidenhead Town v Mortimer. A very enjoyable end of season game with nothing to play for, Maidenhead eventual 5-3 winners but Mortimer were always in the game. The pitch is fenced off but no rail to lean on, the pitcj itself looked good. No stands or facilities by the pitch but is part of the overall Bisham Abbey Sports complex. The cafe was closed otherwise would have used but the main sports complex looked to be excellent. Has a riverside frontage and the ground is very close to Marlow United by boat!. Well done to the Thames Valley League and member clubs for playing out the season and making these visits possible. I'd love to see summer football become a permanent way forward. Always seems strange to me that non league wraps up at the end of April just as the days getting longer and weather getting better.
