"Not great"

lambylad1996's review of Giant Axe

Giant axe is not a great ground to visit but is fantastic for Lancaster City's league. The ground is open and you can walk around everywhere which is good but as there as no stewards "banter" can sometimes go too far. 200 seats and has a capacity of around 3,500 but can only usually fill between 200-400.

Location

The ground is a situated 200 meters from the train, which is what all football fans want. The parking is not great around the ground and with car parks in the city centre it is a good idea to "park and walk", from which the centre is around 10 minutes from the ground.

View

The seats are okay but slightly uncomftable but apart from that the seats were perfectly fine. There are also 3 other terraces in which you can walk around and 1 of these has cover.

Facilities

The toilets are a typical football ground and there are enough for the fans attending. there is also a burger van inside the ground.

Food & Drink

I myself did not try any because i had eaten in the city centre but by my friends report it was tasty and well worth the money and with a quick and happy service.

Police & Stewards

At lancaster there wasn't any stewards but no trouble brewed, however for bigger games there are stewards.

Atmosphere

the atmosphere isn't great however when fans are in the covered terrace, some sound is generated by a drum or by noisy singers.
