kobacraig has rated Mourneview Park 4.0 out of 5.
I have visited Mournview on numerous occasions over 25 years. During that period it has made regular improvements. On my last visit new seating had appeared behind the goal to estate side of the stadium. Nevertheless the stadium maintains a very 1960s feel, and is the better for it.
The ground is on the edge of a housing estate, and is well signposted. However, public transport does not serve it.
All 3 stands are modern with plastic seats. Only in the home stand is the view in certain seats restricted, but other seats are usually available.
The toilets are easy to find (behind the goal stand) and seemed accessible.
The usual fayre, tasty and cheap.
No police in evidence, but the stewards were very helpful.
I came as a neutral, and found the home fans very friendly. The excellent crowd (1800) created a vocal and boisterous atmosphere. However, do NOT expect a welcome in the Mournview estate in which the ground is situated.
