kalonnewbury has rated Memorial Stadium 3.0 out of 5.
Great stadium to watch my team play, very good atmosphere during local derbies or rival matches, and the club's anthem 'Goodnight Irene' can be sung throughout. Good view of the pitch from the blackthorn end and the south stand, as well as the seating area in the uplands stand, good facilities and an easy ground to get to
Just off the A38 (Gloucester Rd) and Filton Avenue, which are two main roads going into Bristol from the North, fairly straightfoward to find
I usually stand as I watch from the Blackthorn End, has a very good view of the whole pitch, the seats are comfortable and provide the best views of the ground.
There are plenty of toilets all around the ground, and they are kept in a clean condition.
There are a variety of drinks avaiable and a wide range of pies/pastries, and sausage rolls available too, the queues dont get too long, maybe a five minite wait at half time but not much longer than that, quite expensive, but a good taste in quality
There are enough stewards at the ground, and when there are local derbies such as Plymouth, Swindon, Oxford, Bristol City, Torquay, Exeter etc. there are more than enough police and stewards to keepn everything under control
amazing.
