"Good Complex Welsh Football Stadium"

I am writing this review from Carmarthen Town AFC v Aberyswyth Town FC on the 16/01/2009 which the game ended 2-1 with a attendance of 901.

Location

The Ground is very easy to find with a lot of information in the town with notice board in and around town, there are signpost to the ground with a number of buses to and from the ground. As it was a Friday night the town centre was a bit like downtown Baghdad but is safe with a lot of police presence in the town. There are a number of pubs and nightclubs in the town - great for touring supporters. The parking is second to none there are three car parks in and around the ground all owned by the local borough Council.

The new thousand seater stand is first class the leg room is very wide. At the ground is a brand new community centre which help and support the community of Carmarthen North but there is a nice refurbished club house with a lot of drink and food on offer. There is a lot of seating with a lot of entertainment from gambling machines to Pool Tables, also at the club house there is HD Plasma TV with Sky Sports and ESPN. The club is also soon to plan to build a new stand at the Priory Street End.

Facilities

The facilities are brilliant with a lot of toilets on offer. Also at the club there is a club shop and they also have one club shop in the town centre. There are two turnstiles at the ground the 3rd was closed due to the plot of land sold behind the goal but a brilliant place to place them with one near the club house and the car park and the other one near the massive car park. The only big problem is that behind the goal there is nothing brand new or good for the fans. At the ground there is a top-notch office and delegate room which has the best technology around it has been done up by computer technology firm Credu which helps to support in computing they also use a whiteboard for tactics and playmaking.

Police & Stewards

There were over thirty stewards on hand at the ground all looking professional with a Chief and Safety Steward. There was also eight police officers at the ground too four of them were Community Officers I also heard there is also a Police Delegate Room in the ground with a six private car park spaces at the ground for police and security - very professional. The police are very handy as there been a lot of trouble at the ground in the past.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere was awesome with drums and singing which was never ending. There is a chanting section which is Section A which was fully packed for the game. Section A has been well-known in the league for its bad behaviour and hooliganism which should not be tolerated at the club but a lively bunch. There was also a school tournament at the ground which was very entertaining with local School at present in the game.
