I visited to see Heanor Town play Mansfield Town U21 in a pre-season friendly. Heanor play (season 17/18) in the Midland League (they are about the most northerly team in it) and the ground is pretty standard for Step 5.
The ground is just a few hundred yards from Heanor town centre with plenty of places to eat and drink. The nearest station is Langley Mill which is about half a mile away. There appeared to be no parking on site but parking in the residential streets around the ground. The football club share the space with Heanor Cricket Club
There are two stands at the Town Ground. The first, seated stand, is located behind the goal nearest the road and is equipped with bench seats. However this stand sits about 30 feet back from the pitch. The second stand straddles the halfway line and is a covered terrace. This side of the ground also features a grass bank either side of the stand. The other two sides have no stands or banking of any kind - the long side bordering the cricket pitch
Toilets are in the clubhouse. There is a club shop which was actually locked during my visit. However Amanda, the club secretary, kindly opened it up for me.
There is a snack bar adjacent to the changing rooms. Although I didn't purchase anything it did have an extensive list of things to buy and the prices looked very reasonable
Very friendly club and, with a crowd of about 150-200 there was a fair bit of atmosphere
