I visited to see Clee take on Hall Road Rangers in their final pre-season friendly before embarking on their first season in the NPL. The team are due to move to a new build stadium in the near future. The BFDC is, unfortunately, a pretty soulless place I'm afraid, which is barely up to NPL standard and lacks any of the charisma of grounds such as Leek Town, Frickley and Belper.
Its a long way outside Cleethorpes, in the village of Bradley. The nearest Railway stations are either Grimsby Town or Great Coates, both of which are a long walk. Buses 13 and 14 run to Bradley Crossroads from Grimsby station. There is one pub near the ground along with a fish and chip shop and several convenience stores
The stadium is utilitarian at best. The clubhouse looks like what it is - part of a leisure centre complex. Viewing on this side s from a wide patch. as it is behind the goal to the right. The Main stand, on the opposite side, is of the temporary, metal, variety and seat about 100 spectators. There is another stand / covered terrace behind the other goal
The complex is fairly new so there are plenty of toilets in the clubhouse and these are clean. A club shop exists - a trestle table outside - and sells shirts, scarves, badges, teeshirts etc
The bar inside the clubhouse was serving alcoholic drinks and hot stuff...didn't notice any food being served.
This is the plus side to the whole experience. Go look at Clee Town Ultras twitter feed. The home support is fantastic. Small in numbers but the sang all game and were very friendly and welcoming to visitors. Their attitude is what makes me go to the non-league game
