johnwickenden has rated Stoneylands Stadium 1.5 out of 5.
I visited to see a midweek Eastern Counties Premier League against Saffron Walden Town. Long Melford are a fairly recent addition to the ECP and their ground is fairly small compared to the likes of Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Fakenham and Hadleigh.
Stoneylands is in a housing estate just behind the main street in Long Melford, as such it is fairly easy to find. The nearest station to Long Melford is in Sudbury about 3 miles away, although there is plenty of parking adjacent to the ground. The proximity of the village centre means there are plenty of pubs within walking distance.
Stoneylands has only one seated stand and this is located alongside the clubhouse / changing rooms. It seats about 75 and is of the usual 'temporary - bus stop' construction with plastic tip up seats. The only other area of cover is a small covered terrace behind the far goal.
Toilets are in he recently refurbished clubhouse. There is no club shop but a few club souvenirs (badges etc) can be bought from the bar.
There is a licenced bar in the clubhouse. Next to then stand is a small hot food stand, selling burgers, chips, hot drinks etc. Prices were average.
Very little in the way of noise from the crowd of about 80 but Long Melford are one of the smaller teams in the division
