johnwickenden has rated Oakley Road 2.0 out of 5.
Oakley Road is a fairly standard 'county league' Step 6 non-league ground and is located a few miles south of Bromley town centre on the road to Biggin Hill. It's set in a semi-rural area, laying back from the A233, with paddocks at either end of the ground and woodland on the far side.
The ground is loated about 2 miles north of Biggin Hill Airport, just off the A233. The ground is located at the end of a single track lane. There is little in the way of car parking at the ground itself and the majority of visitors parked at the side of the A road. The nearest stations are Bromley South or Hayes. The former station is connected to the ground via the 320 bus. Nearest pub is the Two Doves which is about 200 yrds away on the opposite side of the road.
There is a single stand containing sets, which is located on the far side of the ground from the clubhouse. This is one of the common metal 'arena' type stands which contains 124 seats. There are covers for a few spectators behind each goal. Other than thet, there is a concrete path surrounding the ptch
There's a single set of toilets, located in the clubhouse. There is no club shops but badges and mugs are sold from the bar. There is a small programme which is free with the admission fee
A limited selection of hot drinks at food are available in the bar - obviously, beer, spirits etc are also sold
The crowd aws 59 for the match - a Kent county cup encounter against league rivals SC Thamesmead.. As is usual at this level, there are always one or two vocal supporters from each club, but other than that, it was pretty peaceful
