Visited her on 13/2/16 to see Merstham play VCD Athletic in the Ryman Isthmian Premier. The ground is well equipped and fairly modern with cover on three sides. The clubhouse is outside the turnstiles.
About 10 minutes walk from Merstham station (which has infrequent trains) and set in a residential area. Car parking on site is very limited, but there is plenty of parking in the roads nearby. Not too far from the main A23 road.
Entry to the ground is via a footpath to the right of the clubhouse. Upon entry the new boardroom / changing room complex is immediately to the right with the club shop located in the corner to the left. Beyond the boardroom building is the main stand which has approx 100 seats in the club colours of yellow and black. The view from the seats is unobstructed by posts and has a no standing area in front (which a group of guys ignored, blocking my view of the right hand goal). Behind the left hand goal (the Church End) is a covered terrace, whilst the right hand end (the Albury End) has a small stand (seating about 30) behind the goal. The far side is open and contains the dugouts.
Toilets are inside the boardroom block which is only a few years old. The clubhouse, outside the ground, also has facilities. Nice club shop in the corner, selling replica shirts, scarves, badges, programmes etc
Refreshments kiosk is situated directly behind the main stand and sells the normal non-league fayre
Not at this level
As is usual for the Isthmian league, there isn't much in the way of atmosphere, especially with Merstham being one of the smaller clubs in the Premier (teams like Tonbridge and Dulwich are the exception with very vocal support). Average attendances at Moatside are about 100-150, but they are a friendly bunch, very welcoming to groundhoppers
