johnwickenden has rated Leylands Park 1.5 out of 5.
The ground is not really up to the standards of other Ryman Premier clubs such as Dulwich Hamlet. Tonbridge Angels, Lewes and Kingstonian - but the club are well aware of it's limitations. At the time of writing the club need to build a new covered terrace for 200 spectators to remain in the division and are in discussions with the local council to get permission to do so
Not great, its a long walk from both Burgess Hill and Wivelsfield stations and it's on the outskirts of a housing estate on the northern edge of town.
The main stand contains approx 150 seats and straddles the halfway line. One other seating area - which has no cover, is located alongside the clubhouse behind a goal. The rest of the ground is uncovered. The main stand has no stanchions to block the view
Toilets in the clubhouse and in a converted shipping container next to the changing rooms
Beers and stuff in the club house. There is a burger bar behind the goal (known as "Back of the Net"). Serves the usual fayre of hot dogs, cheeseburgers, bacon rolls and drinks etc
The hone fans try hard - there just weren't many of them on a horrible night in January. Interesting rendition of "Marina" (from Stingray)
