"South Park FC- King George\'s Field"

I visited to see a midweek match against Hastings Utd, in the Ryman Div 1 South. Interesting to visit as, in my youth I played football for South Park youths\' big local rivals and we used to play the Parkeys on this pitch!

Location

It\'s in the extreme south west of Reigate...in fact its so extreme that it\'s only fields next to it. Its a long way from any station so don\'t think if going by train. Parking is OK and on the other footie pitches when you get there but the ground is in a narrow lane. If you don\'t know where you are going it can be tricky to find

The team used to be in the Combined Counties league, getting promotion several years back. Hence there are two small metal stands behind the far goal 9so not ideal for views), seating about 100 souls. The rest of the pitch is standing. The changing room blok straddles the halfway line and this has an extended roof in case it rains.
The ground is probably the worst in the Ryman 1 South I\'m afraid.

Facilities

Toilets are in the changing room bock. Programmes and metal badges were sold at the turnstiles

Food & Drink

The bar and clubhouse are not located at the ground, but back across the car park field, next to the lane. However the snack bar located in the changing room block is large enough to have a standing area inside, where the walls are decorated with posters and newspaper cutings about the club. The food and drink is standard fayre but is reasonably proced

Atmosphere

I think over 50% of the 130 crowd were Hastings supporters and they did seems to make more noise (mind, their team did win 5-1)
