I visited Grange Park to watch Long Eaton take on Coventry United in a Midland Football League game in front of 85 spectators. Grange Park is a reasonable sized ground for step 5 and is certainly good enough for a higher level.
The ground is just a short walk from Long Eaton centre with it's bars, pubs and places to eat. It is also about 5-10 mins walk from the train station. There is plenty of parking at the ground for those that want to travel by car (Long Eaton is close to the M1/A50 junction..
There are two stands on opposite sides of the pitch, both containing seats. The larger of the two - the Main Stand - is on the clubhouse and changing room side and is a large structure for this size of club, having approx 200 seats is about 8 rows. The second stand is shorter and contains less seats. The area in front is designated as no standing but no-one sat in the seats and a fair few stood in front !
There is no cover behind either goal.
Toilets are adjacent to the clubhouse. The disabled facility appeared to be a portaloo. There is no clubshop but a few items such as badges etc can be bought from the bar.
The bar sells the usual drinks etc. There is also a kiosk on the outside selling burgers, chips etc. Didn't try so cannot comment on the prices
Coventry Utd seemed to bring at least half of the crowd. There was little in the way of atmosphere compared to the likes of othe Midland League teams
