Visited for a midweek game to see Godolphin play St Blazey in the SW Peninsular League Premier. Overall, this is one of the smallest and most primitive grounds I've visited, with little in the way of facilities. I'm quite suprised it's even Step 6 !
The ground is located just off of Godolphin Way, which in turn is a turning off Henver Road in the Porth area of Newquay. The easiest was to find the ground is to turn off Henver Road opposite the Godolphin Hotel (after which the team is named). There is limited parking at the ground, although street parking isn't a problem, and Newquay railway station is about a 20 minue walk away in the town centre. The nearest place to eat or drink is the Godolphin Hotel itself, although there are plenty of other place in Newquay itself.
There is one stand in the ground and this is a rather space age metal affair (see photo) with about 50 seats. Other than that there is a concrete path around most of the pitch, except for the far goal. Average crowds here are in the region of 80 so you won't struggle to see the action
Basic - toilets are in the changing room block. A limited selection of club merchandise is sold from the refreshment van, but other than that it can be bought from the bar in the hotel !
One burger van / trailer here. Other than that it's a few yards to the hotel for beers etc
St Blazey bought quite a few fans and the Cornish Football channel were here streaming live coverage, other than that it was pretty quiet I'm afraid. The presence of fellow groundhopper Julian was welcome.
