I visited here to see Goytre Utd take on Pen-y-bont in a Welsh Football League Division 1 match, strangely picking the same match as 5 other groundhoppers from the South-east (out of a crowd of about 70). It does have to be said that Glenhafod Park is one of the most picturesque grounds in the UK, set in a wooded area in a valley between hills.
There is really only one road through the village of Goytre and the ground is situated thru the village and past the cemetary. There is a reasonable sized car park on site, but the nearest station is Port Talbot Parkway which is about 2-3 miles away (downhill).
There is a single stand at the ground seating about 250 spectators. Its named the Boris Suhanski Stand after the original club benfactor (his family still run the club). The stand sits in an elevated position above pitch level and has approx 5 rows of seats. Unfortunately supports along the front do obscure the view slightly. The rest of the pitch is open with a simple concrete path around it
Toilets are behind the main stand and (for gents) only consist of urinals ! More are available in the clubhouse across the car park and outside the grund. There is no shop and no club memorabilia on sale
Food and drink are available in the clubhouse and there is also a snack hut behind the goal. Food is pretty cheap even by non-league standards
None, but everyone connected with the club was extremely friendly and helpful to visitors
Not much in the way of noise from the supporters except for general encouragement to the palyers from the sidelines. I've heard quieter at other grounds
