johnwickenden has rated Garden Walk 2.5 out of 5.
Hemmed in on 3 sides by housing with the 4th side being a school, there is little room for development at Garden Walk. The ground has a slightly dishevelled feel to it and probably wouldn't meet higher standards than the Southern League. I visited for a Southern League, Div 1 Central match vs Beaconsfield SYCOB
About 5-10 minutes walk from Royston station. There is limited parking in the ground itself, many people seem to park on the residential roads around the ground, even though the club discourage it.. Places to eat, pubs etc in the town centre
The Main Stand is on the far side of the pitch from the turnstiles. It has seating for about 100 but is slightly tatty. On the near side is a small covered 'terrace' which actually wouldn't look out of place with deckchairs in a public park ! The clubhouse, behind the near goal also has an extended roof, providing a covered area. During my visit a hailstorm hit Royston and people along the near touchline also found shelter in the fir trees that partially line the pitch
Toilets in the clubhouse. There is no clubshop but a small selection of club souvenirs are available from behind the bar
Bar in the clubhouse. There is a burger van adjacent to the turnstiles, selling cheeseburgers, burgers, bacon rolls etc. These seemd a little more pricey than normal at non-league grounds
Not particularly vocal compared to some teams in the Southern League (like Banbury), but pretty much the standard sort of support at this level
