I visited the Culverden to see Tunbridge Wells take on Sevenoaks Town in the "A21" derby (although Tonbridge Angels and Hastings Utd also lay claim to this). TWFC made it to the final of the FA Vase a few years back - the first team from the Southern Counties East League (formerly Kent County League) to do so, however this season their league form has been decided patchy.
Culverden Stadium is located about 20-30 minutes walk from the town centre and the railway station, with no pubs nearby or places to eat. The ground has a large car park which is free to use.
Entrance to the ground is behind one goal and this end of the ground is a hard terrace, about 6 large steps high which gives an excellent view and is home to the hardcore Wells fans. The the right, and running almost the full length of the ground is the main stand. Half of this is seated, whilst the other is a covered terrace. The far end of the ground, whilst accesible, was not used during my visit. The side opposite the main stand consists simply of a concrete path.
There are toilets in the main clubhouse (next to the turnstiles) and at the rear of the main stand. There is a 'club shop; operating from the tea bar inside the clubhouse and this sells, badges, scarves, nats etc
The bar in the clubhouse is available to all visitors as is the tea bar inside and there is a burger van next to the main stand
The crowd for my visit was 331...incredible for this level. This was bigger than all but 3 games in the Ryman Div 1 level. The home support sang throughout and were very voal. Easily the best atmosphere at this level I have seen anywhere in England
