My day was somewhat tarnished by God awful traffic and arriving some 30 minutes into the action. My fault I know! Anyway my Millwall team lost 2-0 (I was lucky enough to catch both goals!). The open standing end was packed and whilst far from being a state of the art modern stadium, it was homely and so long as it doesn't rain on you, a thoroughly enjoyable trip.
Train station at 6 miles is slightly inaccessible to say the least but parking was literally directly behind the ground and easily accessible. For £2 it was very reasonable, and if you arrive 30 minutes after kick off you may not have to pay!
View was fine and terracing seemed safe (no cracks etc). However the lack of the cover would be a problem for a winter visit.
I was informed by other fans who used the facilities that there were only 4 toilets in the entire away end.
Small range of soft drinks, hot dogs and bacon rolls. Very nice but a limited selection. Oh, and bacon ran out 3 minutes into half time! The away end was full but even so, was less than impressive.
Very reasonable, sensible and whilst Millwall were very well behaved they did nothing to encourage problems. Also one young lad put in a cracking header without even watching the play! Got a laugh from the whole crowd.
An open end is never great for atmosphere but full credit to the Yeovil fans they made some good noise.
