jacko-2 has rated The John Smith's Stadium 3.0 out of 5.
Overall a good ground, however filling in the corners would make it much better, as the atmosphere leaks out like a broken drain pipe! There are many better grounds in the Championship, however this is not the worst Championship ground I have seen...by a long way...!
Easy to get to, parking available for both sets of fans, easily signposted, train station in town centre not far away.
Good view of the pitch wherever you're sat (I've sat in all four stands). Seats are your average plastic fold-up, but they do the job! Leg room not a problem, plenty wherever you're sat.
Toilets are okay, although not the cleanest.
Plenty of food and drink available, however, like any football ground, the food and drink is expensive, so I'd suggest to bring your own!
There are police and stewards EVERYWHERE! The stewards don't do anything, and just stand there looking at you (what more are they meant to do!).
Locals are mostly friendly (you get the odd idiot at every ground), the home support is good, but I've seen WAY BETTER, and most away fans in the championship are ten times better.
