"black cats v irons"

Long drive for this one so decided to stay over, football wise we were well out played and they deserved the 3 goals they got, I have witnessed a drunk ugly bloke in a club making more successful passes than we did!
Must say its nice to go to a club that doesn't out price fans, £29 a ticket, well played Sunderland! Free buses is a nice touch, but didnt fancy the queue and like a walk.

Location

we parked at the premier inn we stayed in [timber ......way or something], its on the route for the free yes free park and ride buses, there was loads of parking on the way to the ground as we decided to walk the couple of miles, we noticed loads of people parking for free and jumping on the bus.

too high up for my liking and don't like to be told to sit, is there ever enough leg room when you're the tall side of 6 foot?

pretty good

Food & Drink

two sections , one level there is a bar serving alcohol and up a level is normal food n stuff. didn't use the bar but food bit was ok

Police & Stewards

police were fine, stewards outside the ground and in ground before match started were fine, but during the game they kept trying to make us sit down, picking on the younger lads, asking them to leave with them [how to ruin the enjoyment of a game, I am sure they were doing this to stifle the singing as you know, sat fans dont sing so much] soon as they got a few sat we sang stand up if you love west ham, that always works, but the main jobsworth seemed to really enjoy a chant of £4 an hour , he's on four pounds an hour!!!
so my advice, stand tall and sing loud.

Atmosphere

we had no problems in or around the ground. home fans were a bit quiet, a few songs and they did celebrate 3 times when they scored. we sang better in 2nd half, after the game was out of our reach!
