irongav has rated The Riverside Stadium 3.5 out of 5.
We went for a bite to eat in a bar in town, took coats of to display full colours and first words spoken to me was "you're kin brave showing that in here". I enquired why and that was the end of it, then had loads of local Irons fans come up n shake our hands, that turned out better than i thought! phew!! May recommend if you're a local team to hide colours!!! But all good when we got chatting, football is a universal language!!
Great night out, bloody cold and a very long way from home, but 3 points in the bag made it all worthwhile ;-)
If you're thinking about going, I would say go for it, have some fun. Not a bad team either
Parked in a side street near the town centre, be careful of restrictions and yellow lines! 20 min walk, loads of places to go for a drink or eat, train station was close to town.
Row 20 something, not a bad view at all. Didn't sit down, nothing unusual there
Toilets busy at critical times
No bother, got pockets checked on way in and that was that!
Pretty poor, half empty stadium. A few of the die hard fans were singing a bit, but we made up for that with just 1,500 fans ;-)
