First of all, bloody long drive from the south!!! That said, would go again tomorow, found a nice little chippy/cafe and then a great bar, then onto the footie, if it hadnt been a Tuesday evening game would have stayed, but work commitments wouldn't allow (not sure how good it was me going to work on 3 hrs sleep though), we had a fantastic evening in all, am a fan of the way the seasiders play and they have a good fan base and great manager in Holloway (such an honest man) I hope they make the play offs and for them this game was a blip. Good bit of banter and chanting going on till game was out of their reach.
Top night out and if you're lucky you will get a weekend fixture, if you do, stay over and treat yourself, go on you deserve it!
Ground is very easy to find, we parked for free on Central Drive, we arrived 2 hours before kick off, which clearly helps for the free parking!
Had a better view than the blindsman by all accounts! How many offsides can one man miss!!!! Seat number meant jack, just sit where you want we were told! Sat in my seat for 5 mins at half time, n there was enough leg room for a well over six footer, thats a rarity.
Portaloo!!!!! Miss a couple of mins of game if you wanna pee as half time it's a scrum
Didn't bother as had eaten in a chippy on route to Sports bar in Foxhall Square (66) great pub played ska, punk and even some bubbles, full of away fans!
No problems at all, stewards were very relaxed and easy going, thus no agro from fans whatsoever, they got it spot on, well done, a fair police pressence as you would expect with a big away following, but they were seen and not heard, as far as I saw no bother at all, which was great
Home fans were singing a bit, but to be honest we were very vocal, 2-0 up n then they nicked one on 45 mins, 2nd half we had keeper sent off straight red and had no other keeper so played midfielder who played a blinder, 10 mins into 10 men and we started controlling the game and went on to score 2 more goals, so the atmosphere got bigger n better and the home seats started empting, what a night for the travelling fans.
