I visited this ground for the opening game of the season 2009/10 season versus Exeter City. This ground is generally of a good layout and for the attendance it was a good atmosphere.
The food and drink seemed to be of a good standard and I easily managed to get a beer at half time.
Parking is plentiful and it's easy to exit the ground due to the traffic management by the local police at the end of the game.
I visited the club shop (or tried to) upon arrival and found huge queues that weren't moving, I wanted to purchase a souvenir, I gave up after 30mins and only moving 10ft.
I am little put off about visiting the ground after finding the cost to be £52.00 for two on the day. I tried to purchase the cheaper tickets and was put off by the sales staff on the phone by saying I had to buy a membership too.
Apart from the little problem with the ticketing I would recommend visiting this ground, it is a shame to see such a large club languishing in the lower leagues, I can only hope the club in future make a come back to the top flight.
Being located to the south of the City of Leeds, it is very well connected to the road network. The rail services are a little distance from the ground, but the bus services seem to cover the distance easily and with good frequency.
I feel the overall location is good and the layout of the surrounding area is such that it allows the freeflow of people to and from the ground
I sat in the lower West Stand near the tunnel where I found the view good and unobstructed in this location. I do understand that there are issues elsewhere in the ground due to age of the ground and the need to have support stantions located around the ground.
To the south west corner you have the TV and score board, this is very big and of a good design and seems well maintained, it also shows action replays on a regular basis.
The seats were ample for my companion and I, we are both are under 6ft tall, I feel for the taller person, you may be wanting for comfort.
The facilities seemed good and organised in the section of the ground I was in. I found the toilets clean and spacious, there was a varied choice of food and drinks available and there were also vending machines.
The police and stewards seemed to be present and yet gentle with the policing of the event, there was one instance of a member of the public entering the field of play, they handled it well and with reasonable force / care.
