hadrienm has rated Stadio Olimpico 4.0 out of 5.
This is a proper Latin / Italian ground: quite old, with stands that are far off the field. It's not everyone's taste of course but the Olimpico is a remarkable example of fascist/post-fascist architecture: sat in the Foro Italico complex, monumental, inspired by Antiquity and the Roman empire. The atmosphere was cool during the game I attended (Lazio v Salernitana) but the stadium seems to huge for the club it hosts. Beware of signs of clear racism from Lazio fans.
Quite remote from the center of Rome and there is no subway station, however you can access the Foro Italico by bus or tramway.
It's wiser to select seats that are quite high up the stands, as the view of the pitch is bad when you're too close.
There is the Curva North which is always full and sings almost during the whole game to support the team. The lateral stands are also composed of passionate local fans. The rest of this huge stadium is generally empty. Unfortunately you may be confronted with monkey shouts directed at black opponent players, or antisemitic chants from the supporters if you attend a Lazio game.
