grifftinfoilhat has rated Veltins-Arena 4.5 out of 5.
A big, blue modern arena but on of the best atmospheres at one of the most passionately supported clubs I have been to.
Way, way out of town. But trams run from the train station, the say Veltins Arena on the front and they are free. Easy.
They get very busy at the end of the game though.
The view was great, the leg room was awful.
Toilets small and scarce. Queues at half time were dreadful.
Badly managed. Food outlets don't accept cash so you have to top up a stadium card. Beer and food are seperate, so that's 3 different queues already. Didn't bother with food. Beer is quite easy to get as there are plenty of mobile Beer sellers around. You can hand your card in and get any unused money back whenever you like.
Incredible. Get to your seat 20 minutes before kick off to enjoy the build up (you can take your beer!). 60,000 passionate Schalke fans is a sight to see.
