Tuesday off work! Sun shining! Better be a day by the seaside followed by a local derby at a new ground then.
Out of town amongst industrial buildings and warehouses. Great if you're driving, ample parking and on the M5 in no time. It would be a fair old walk from town.
Plenty of drinking opportunities in the town, although the town centre has seen better days. The seafront is pleasant though, make sure you take a stroll along the pier. There's a fabulous Wetherspoon's on the front as well. Which is a polar opposite to the Wetherspoon's in the town.
Plenty of options. There's a big stand behind one of the goals which is mainly terracing but has some seats right behind the goals. A smaller covered terrace behind the other set of goals and a long, covered seated stand alongside the clubhouse side of the pitch. No stand on the dugout side but you can stand against the railings. I like grounds that let you walk the whole way around.
Toilets were OK. The ones in the bar were better than the ones in the ground. There's a great little club shop and a league quality programme.
Two options. One is a burger and hot dog place next to the club shop that is slow but friendly. I'd read people moaning that burgers are pricey at £4.50, but those bad boys were tasty and clearly home made. I don't mind paying for a top quality burger. In the bar you can get the usual array of pies and pasties (which looked and tasted suspiciously like Peter's). The bar was great, no queues at half time, good selections (although no ales). Pity I was driving.
It was great. Bath brought plenty making the total attendance 591, the home fans were obviously delighted with their team completely outplaying their local rivals.
