"Impressive Structure"

has rated The Aviva Stadium 3.5 out of 5.

grifftinfoilhat's review of The Aviva Stadium

It is an impressive structure the looms over the surrounding houses. I went with Wales and sat through an awful 0-0 and saw an even more awful tackle that ended up with Seamus Coleman breaking a leg in two places.

Location

Quite far out of town, got the train there but walked back because I couldn't be doing with busy trains. It took about 40 minutes and chatted with the amiable Irish all the way. A lot of people were taking cycle rickshaws back, which may be a fun option!

View

The away fans are housed in the dipped bit, so you're very low down and don't get a great view. Probably better up in the stands.

Facilities

Very modern, quite cramped but clean.

Food & Drink

Awful overpriced hot dog.

Police & Stewards

The stewards and the Garda are friendly and helpful.

Atmosphere

It was OK. The FAI banned our brass band and then piped pre-recorded brass band through the speakers which felt a bit fake and forced.
