It's pronounced Heether. Not Heather. Just so you know, before you go. Neat and tidy little village ground, insanely friendly people full of smiles and all ready for a chat. Good pies, nice big clubhouse and 2 pubs in the village.
The ground is on the outskirts of Heather, a small village that I had no trouble finding. Plenty of parking and no trouble getting out after the game.
You can go where you like, there's a long narrow stand down one half of the pitch and a more compact traditional looking stand opposite. This stand has some seats obscured by pillars, but the view and leg room were fine.
Not brilliant, the toilets in the clubhouse are better than the ones by the food hut.
Driving so didn't sample the alcoholic delights of the clubhouse, so stayed with the little catering window just outside. Good coffee and excellent Steak and Kidney pie. The bloke gave me 20p off because there was some pastry missing. Bovril was available, but it's still a bit too warm.
There was one steward who I chatted to for a bit. He even announced my name at half time and was impressed I had travelled all the way from Ross on Wye on my groundhopping adventures. I didn't think it was that far tbh, but there you go. I'll sit back and bask in my new found fame.
