grifftinfoilhat has rated Pen-Y-Pound Stadium 4.0 out of 5.
Friendly ground in the lovely town of Abergavenny.
A ten minute walk from the town centre, plenty of street parking around. It's a long hike to the railway station.
The big old wooden stand on one side of the pitch is condemned and out of bounds, but the stamd behind the goal is more than comfortable. So much leg room and the seats in front have a metal bar you can rest you're feet on. V comfortable.
Toilets are in the clubhouse and are clean. Separate disabled toilet as well.
A big van called the Odd Oven opened it's hatch to sell food before kick off and I got a gourmet bacon cheese burger for £4.20 and it was delicious. Only loses a star because I'm sick of brioche buns.
Airport brought a few vociferous fans who made a lot of noise, buoyed on by their teams performance and gaining a big cup upset. A big gang of local kids made some great noise, taunting the away side with songs about how much they prefer Bristol Airport.
