grifftinfoilhat has rated Newport Stadium 3.0 out of 5.
Athletics stadium on the outskirts of Newport which was fine for a Women's world cup qualifier (if a little small actually as it sold out pretty quickly).
A long way from the city centre, but great if you're driving. Big car park and just off the A48, on the M4 in no time. Car park was filling up 20 minutes before kick off but we were told we could park on the side behind Danny Gabbidon.
Cursed running track but it doesn't obstruct the view as much as it does in other athletic stadiums. Don't want to be behind the goals much.
Toilets were very good. There's a leisure centre feel to the whole place.
Absolutely shocking. The queues for the "Tuck Shop" were abysmal and it seemed they were only selling crisps and chocolate which you could get from a vending machine downstairs.
The atmosphere was excellent, but the stand was full due to the game being a sell out and Wales Women are on fire. Can't imagine it's that great in the lower Welsh leagues.
