Recently spent a chilly Tuesday night here watching Shortwood destroy Merthyr's development side in the Southern League Cup. I'm glad I did though, because it means I have now visited all the grounds in Nailsworth.
You pretty much have to drive. It's down a single track road from the village centre and I wouldn't want to walk it, especially in the dark. Plenty of parking when you get there though. It was easy enough to fined, but I went for a midweek game and the floodlights were pretty visible.
Great view on the one side as you are on a raised grass bank. Inside the Howard Webb stand the wall blocks the view of the near touch line. Comfy enough seats though.
Toilets by the turnstile and in the clubhouse both clean and well maintained. No club shop that I could see and programmes are only available online to save costs.
£4 for a small but tasty cheese burger. Not a great selection, burgers, hot dogs, chips, and coffee. Friendly and quick service though.
Clubhouse was welcoming and well stocked. No booze as I was driving but there was a good selection.
With an attendance of only 48, this was never going to score highly. Merthyr fans made some noise and hung up flags but that was about it.
