"A Bit Different"

has rated Prenton Park 3.5 out of 5.

gazb1889's review of Prenton Park

The first thing you notice about Prenton Park is the very large Kop end. It dominates the other three sides but does look a bit out of place with what seemed to be maybe 1,200-1,500 fans in.

The away end is above average and you get a good unobstructed view. There are plenty of facilities under the stand and you are not queing long even when the stand is full. The main stand looks very dated now (especially from outside) and the opposite stand is tiny in comparison to the other three.

Overall its a decent ground for League One.

Location

We approached through the Birkenhead Tunnel and it was well signposted and easy to find. We drove by the ground and parked on a side street (careful, some are for permit holders only)

View

Leg room is tight but a good view from anywhere in the stand.

Facilities

A bar under the stand with a choice of ales (gassy and expensive). Refreshment counter and plenty of toilets deserves an above average mark.

Atmosphere

The Blades fans were in good voice but the home fans were very quite for most of the game.
