gabriel1-'s review of Anfield

Didn't even swear at the match, this stadium is literally a cathedral. Absolutely gorgeous interior and exterior topped off with Mane's stunning goal, sending the raucous fans into pure delirium and making it 50 unbeaten for the mighty Reds at Anfield. Liverpool FC have 580 million fans and will have 58,000 seats for home fans at Anfield next season, so even with the expansion, demand will still dangerously exceed supply by 10,000 to 1. So if you had 10,000 Liverpool supporters (e.g. Wembley Arena's normal crowd), only one fan would be going to the match. The fact that a ticket to Anfield in the home end for a PL or UCL match is officially the most prized sports ticket in human history speaks for itself. By far the best game I have ever been to or ever will see (until I go back!!) COYR 🧣

Location

Embedded so heavily in the fabric of Liverpool, Anfield is located in the middle of houses and borders Stanley Park, a great matchday walk.

View

The view of the pitch at Anfield is nothing short of impeccable. You can see every single bit of action on the touchlines and the full pitch. Not a yard of the pitch is out of sight - some people might say different if they have been in the Anfield Road End but now that it has been renovated, it really does look truly astonishing.

Facilities

The facilities are very good, with lots of staff on hand to cater for the several hundreds of queuers. The pies are some of the best in the league and looking out across Anfield whilst eating it made it taste even better!

Food & Drink

The food and drink is very reasonably priced, with pies at not even £4 and confectionery/soft drinks not going over £3. Very good to know that the money is going to a brilliant Club who will wisely spend it - the money doesn't go to olegarchs or billionaires.

Police & Stewards

The police are good at Anfield - friendly, co-operative.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere at Anfield is spine-tingling. You'll Never Walk Alone, sung by fifty-eight thousand, accompanied by fifty-eight thousand scarves, is incredibly moving. There is nowhere else for several hundreds of miles that can put on a football match like this place can. Every single goal is like it's just been scored in a Champions League Final and the experience in block 305 of the Kop is like a religious experience. The dopamine levels are better than anything.
