flo-cky has rated New River Stadium 1.0 out of 5.
not really a ground for watching football in.
The ground was easy enough to drive to. And there was ample parking for a fee £1.90 for 3 hours, you can pay cash at the machines or use the Ring Go app.
The terrace on the far side was ok, but with big massive steps, so be careful. Depending where you stand you might get a pylon or a dug out in the way. But to be fair it was big enough and empty enough to go wherever you fancy.
The main stand had a great view, its just a shame it is so far away from the action.
Very poor! No food or drinks on sale. There is an onsite cafe/bar but it was shut on my visit, which was a Tuesday evening eastern counties league game. There was access to a toilet under the main stand which was handy as i had walked down to the local petrol station for some cans (5 mins walk).
None to review
Absolutely nothing to review here. I was surprised we just got to walk in, nobody even taking any money. That's a first for me at this level.
In such a massive ground with a head count of 39 spectators, there was no atmosphere whatsoever.
No one to even sing the old classic "Your grounds too big for you, .........."
