Other than just before kick off when you'll never walk alone is belted out by all in attendance, the "famous atmosphere" has been somewhat non existent each time I have visited. The fans only appear to be supportive once they have at least a two goal cushion. I expected banter with the fans and a good singing atmosphere but for those Liverpool supporters who do go (may I add there was many arriving by coach trip joining us from the trip from the north) do not give any input into the game at all. Very disappointing but not a bad ground with its jam packed history.
The Arkle is not a bad place to stop for a pint before the game, most of the Liverpool supporters are pretty friendly in there. There's also a social club just up the road from there with a few floors and plenty of space to get a decent pint and watch the sport on the TV.
Not the easiest of ground to get in/out of.
Not all it's cracked up to be. Very disappointing
