Went there to watch Arsenal in Premier League, 2009/2010 Season. Fantastic stadium close to the pitch and very enclosed which makes the atmosphere even more electric.
Away end situated behind one of the goals with fairly good views.
The pre match Your Never Walk Alone lived up to expectation but that was short lived as Arsenal came from 1-0 down at half time to win 1-2.
Not much in way of pubs and things to do around the ground in between the boarded up houses.
Great day out but they could do with a bigger stadium.
Easy to drive too, parking in Stanley Park or across the road in the Everton FC team car park for a fiver. Only a few pubs where both sets of fans welcome but just too busy to get to the bar.
All around the stadium is boarded up houses and shops.
Great view of pitch from where I was in the away end, some restricted view seats about.
Close to the pitch like it use to be for us at Highbury which adds to the atmosphere.
Just what you expect at a footie ground also TVs to watch shy sports.
Usual food and drink which is always good.
Enough about, special thanks to the Liverpool supporting steward that gave me his champions league badge and said "you got more chance of wearing this than me" (they got knocked out of champions league a few days before!)
Electric as expected, amazing to see the flags being flown but we soon silenced the crowed as we took 3 points.
