"My home, but not quite Highfield Road"

Overall it's a good footy day out.

I'm a season ticket holder and think for the price of my ticket I get looked after pretty well (off the pitch - shame about the actual footy).

The under pitch casino which is open to home and away fans, the hotel and hospitality are up their with the very best in the country and the occasional events held on matchday are great.

Location

Easy to find (just off the M6). Easy to park. At least 15mins walk from pubs 8-(

Seats are cosy and there is a stupid amount of space between pitch and stand, but still a good view in any seat.

Facilities

As a home fan I cant knock it; Cashless system works great. Turnstyles are swipe / barcoded - so it's quick to get in. There's a good amount of space under the stand. Smokers can go outside at half time. Plenty of TVs (if not LCD???). Scoreboard is great for replays, scores, and general info. Been in the away end also and everything is the same except the cashless system.

Food & Drink

Everything you would expect & a bit more (mobile hotdog carts - Whimpys - pies, pasties, sausage rolls, snacks & sweets) if a little pricey.

Police & Stewards

On the whole spot on, though I have come across a few dimwits while visiting the away end with my mate who is an Ipswich fan.

Atmosphere

Now I want to say it's great, it's the best I have ever witnessed but everyone (home & away) would know I'm telling fibs.

When it's a big game, the crowd is big, and City are on a good run, all the plastics come out to play and the noise is fantastic!

But I would say honestly 60% of the time its rubbish - unless we are playing well and winning, which is hardly ever sooo?

Maybe putting home & away fans a little closer would help!
